Trivia Night, the Spring Edition, is returning on April 14 to the Parish Hall (5:30 pm – 9 pm) with another 100 Years of Trivia, complete with new revisions, twists & turns, as well as roads less traveled.
PIZZA, PIZZA, PIZZA - Your entry fee ($15 per person or table of 8 for $120) includes a Pizza buffet from 5:15 pm to 6 pm. We will offer 5 – 6 types of popular gourmet pizza to choose from, along with plates, napkins, extra cheese and peppers.
BRING YOUR OWN – Want more? Bring your own salads, shrimp cocktails, snacks, hors d’oeuvres and beef carpaccio if you want.
BEVERAGE BONANZA – We will offer red and white (or similar colors) of outstanding wines for sale. In addition, multiple choices of beer will be available, except for “lite” beer which wasn’t all that popular. Sodas will be available for those who want to keep a clear head. Or, if you prefer more snobbish brands, bring your own beverages of choice. We won’t judge.
A NEW YEAR WITH NEW QUESTIONS – Keeping with ten decades, each with ten categories, the questions will be easier for those who thought starting in 1918 was too tough. We will start with 1919 this time around. And while we had requests for questions about popular South Korean music, fictional animals, and sausage ingredients, we’re going to stick with our ten categories of: American History, Arts & Culture, Literature, Music, People, Religion, Science, Sports, World History and Miscellaneous (which could include a question about what fictional animal is often found in sausage made by singing South Korean chefs).
PROCEEDS BENEFIT THE FOOD PANTRY – Thanks to last year’s Trivia Night proceeds and another financial grant, we’re finalizing Phase I of the Food Pantry remodel. We’ve painted, added new shelving and lighting, along with organizational changes to improve our client services. Phase II of the Food Pantry remodel is based upon raising funds to replace our 20+ year old refrigerator and freezers with commercial-style units that will more be more efficient.
